When I think of holiday foods, I think of heavy meals with all types of sauces and gravy. This is a lovely alternative, full of flavor, and will leave one’s body feeling good instead of bloated! Great dish for the holiday season. π

I wish I had your problem of not being able to eat too much heavy food. I don’t do it often, but that certainly doesn’t mean I’m not capable!! π

I used to but my diet has changed drastically since living here the food I eat is much lighter and plainer ..I am sure if I still lived in a western country I would have a far less healthy diet π I can eat heavier food just much less satisfies me now where it never did before and I don’t crave for it anymore my palate has changed π Which is good I think π

Goes to prove how the endocrine (hormonal) system is affected under different situations. If people stop eating substances that stimulate addictive hormonal responses, they don’t crave food the same way. Our western diets are full of these addictive stimulants and our food industry is well aware of this fact. It’s a shame that money supersedes integrity in a country that claims to be the “GREATEST IN THE WORLD!”

Yes it does and it is a shame because as we know good health is a must and expensive ..no brainer really π

I wish I had your “problem.” I don’t eat a lot of heavy food or large calorie meals often, but that doesn’t mean I’m not capable of doing so! π

I guess healthy foods tend to “whisper,” eat me where giant unhealthy meals tend to shout, “EAT ME! π

So appetizing. I would imagine this salad would have a nice bite to it with the citrus, mint, and coriancer. Adding the shrimp and peanuts, it could also serve as a main dish.

It does Marian and it can…..given the ingredients I did wonder if it would work but it does and yes with the prawns and peanuts it is ample for a light main dish and is often how we eat it π
