The spam folder …

3. Do you think blogs will still be around in ten years time?

Blogs have been around for about 25 years and yes we now have Vlogs and they seem to be very successful…I also know many are like me and not a techie and don’t really want a u-tube vlog or would even know where to start…So I do hope so…Or I will be very lonely as I hope to carry on blogging until I die…

4. What books inspired you the most?

So many books that I love…… Stephen Hawking …QuoteRemember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet “.

Too many and varied to choose just one…

9. What is your blogging niche and how important do you think it is for a blog to be niche specific?

Lifestyle, I suppose…I always say recipes, rants with a touch of travel and traditions thrown in… Niche-specific? Works unless it is so specialised and then maybe your audience won’t be so widespread.

10. What are your criteria for a successful blog?

About Carol Taylor:

Enjoying life in The Land Of Smiles I am having so much fun researching, finding new, authentic recipes both Thai and International to share with you. New recipes gleaned from those who I have met on my travels or are just passing through and stopped for a while. I hope you enjoy them.

I love shopping at the local markets, finding fresh, natural ingredients, new strange fruits and vegetable ones I have never seen or cooked with. I am generally the only European person and attract much attention and I love to try what I am offered and when I smile and say Aroy or Saab as it is here in the north I am met with much smiling.

Some of my recipes may not be in line with traditional ingredients and methods of cooking but are recipes I know and have become to love and maybe if you dare to try you will too. You will always get more than just a recipe from me as I love to research and find out what other properties the ingredients I use contain to improve our health and wellbeing.

Exciting for me hence the title of my blog,ย Retired No One Told Me!ย I am having a wonderful ride and donโ€™t want to get off, so if you wish to follow me on my adventures, then welcome! I hope you enjoy the ride also and if it encourages you to take a step into the unknown or untried, you know you want toโ€ฆโ€ฆ.Then, I will be happy!

It’s a long story, but suffice it to say that years ago in Russia it was believed that beer yeast, which is what Marmite is, regenerates blood after a significant blood loss. You couldn’t buy in in stores (well, you couldn’t buy almost anything in stores!), so it had to be smuggled at great cost from a brewery. I don’t know if commercially produced spread has the taste I remember, but it is certainly fresh and clean, as opposed to the horror in a jar I had been fed.
