Thank you to those of you who shared with us your early morning cuppa last week…The cold spell has definitely eased somewhat the mornings now are just right a gentle sun and a light breeze…even the shower is bearable now and not a cold icy blast…
Let’s see what we have then…
Monday…
The day when I bring you the latest news and good practises and I also have my naughty corner…The way I am feeling at the moment it could take a whole page but I am sure I will have calmed down somewhat by tomorrow…The smell of banana bread cooking is calming me…I have made a few changes to my original recipe today so fingers crossed it will be as good if not better…

Wednesday…
The day when Sally reposted the letter C from my series on the A-Z of food…my baby…You know when you have favourite posts or series this is one of mine…I have discovered cooking methods and foods that I had never heard of and also discovered things I didn’t know that I knew…I have slightly tweaked it for its second airing and have been delighted at the response…Thank you so much to everyone who has commented and shared it…and of course the lovely Sally xx
Chocolate Brownies…Never need an introduction…

Last but not least…Whimsical Wednesday…
February is probably the busiest month of the year for celebrations, anniversaries, tragedies and for once having only 23 days in the month…Penicillin was discovered and Torville and Dean took the gold for ice dancing to Ravel’s Bolero all on Valentines Day in history…The pretty primrose is also the flower of February…

The day for Sally’s new series on shopping by nutrient…It is a great read and very helpful if you are deficient in any nutrients and need to give it a boost then Sally is the lady she can tell you what you need to eat…Simple to understand and written in plain language it is a # recommended read.
Friday…Valentines Day...
More chocolate goodies this time in the form of cupcakes, if you are dining in then a lovely easy fish dish some Thai snacks…and a lovely tamarind sauce…
Saturday…

About Carol Taylor:
Enjoying life in The Land Of Smiles I am having so much fun researching, finding new, authentic recipes both Thai and International to share with you. New recipes gleaned from those who I have met on my travels or are just passing through and stopped for a while. I hope you enjoy them.
I love shopping at the local markets, finding fresh, natural ingredients, new strange fruits and vegetable ones I have never seen or cooked with. I am generally the only European person and attract much attention and I love to try what I am offered and when I smile and say Aroy or Saab as it is here in the north I am met with much smiling.
Some of my recipes may not be in line with traditional ingredients and methods of cooking but are recipes I know and have become to love and maybe if you dare to try you will too. You will always get more than just a recipe from me as I love to research and find out what other properties the ingredients I use contain to improve our health and wellbeing.
Exciting for me hence the title of my blog, Retired No One Told Me! I am having a wonderful ride and don’t want to get off, so if you wish to follow me on my adventures, then welcome! I hope you enjoy the ride also and if it encourages you to take a step into the unknown or untried, you know you want to…….Then, I will be happy!
Thank you once again for reading this post I hope you all are having a great weekend xx

My morning cuppa in the winter is usually my version of Chi Latte: equal parts powdered Chi and powdered white hot chocolate. Later in the day a black blend call Cream of Avalon. Do you hold with the etiquette of making tea?

Yes, I do…Making green tea is different to making black tea but we always used loose leafed tea not t/bags and warm the pot…Do you ? I like Chai Latte but haven’t heard of Cream of Avalon but will look it up..I don’t have milk in any tea hubby does…I hope you are feeling better 🙂 x

Yes, loose tea, rolling boil, but I steep to my taste, so glass mugs. Cream of Avalon is a blend of caramel, vanilla bergamot and citrus.
