Nature is ever powerful and can regenerate so much faster than maybe even the learned scientists knew…Will lessons be learnt…I do hope so…Amongst all this tragedy we have to take some positives we have to believe that the world and its inhabitants can and will change for the better respect nature more…
The future may be very different but not all bad maybe we needed this …I know mother Nature did…
Image what it could be like after a couple of months…Changes are coming and changes are needed bit will we heed the signs?
I would also love to share this as the sound of this choir is heard in the now quiet streets of Charing Cross, London…Beautiful and poignant…
I am one of the people who while I applaud the banning of single-use plastic bags it is a tad hypocritical when much of our food comes in bottles and containers which need specialist recycling…In these scary times, this video made me smile…Yes, I do have a weird sense of humour at times…
Did it make you smile…the cashiers face certainly did….haha
These are cool...Thank you, Tori, for sharing these with me…So many great ideas come out of the U.K…This plant-based cleaning solution comes in a dissolvable film which can be added to an empty, reusable spray bottle before filling up the bottle with warm water to create an effective eco-friendly cleaning solution that is biodegradable – making it kinder to the planet, to you and to the surfaces you clean. Read all about them here…
Much has closed down due to COVID-19…But what do you think will you sustain any practises that you have had to adopt…? Do you think governments and businesses will start thinking and realising that they can operate differently and for the best of both their workforce and the environment?
I think this pandemic will change us all…Life will not be the same afterwards…I also think while we have had to cook and make do maybe we will waste less and buy less…
Please stay safe and be well…do follow any guidelines (many) are not around the world…I have seen comments like ” I will not be controlled” ” Prove it is worse than the flu…even a half marathon took place in the U.K…There was no social distancing there…
Do you think some of the world’s population gone crazy…Last Hurrah…What are your thoughts?
All of these people are in my naughty Corner both for pollution and stupidity.
So much for observing social distancing…I would love to see the stats of infections and deaths related to this event…I cannot believe there will be no repercussions of this crass stupidity. It is the people who didn’t attend and get sick that I have the sympathy for and for which everyone (if) they have a conscience will have it on theirs…Rant over!
A mixed bag today but I hope you have enjoyed the read and smiled sometimes because it is smiling which will get us through this…
My hope for the future is a cleaner world… I do want to see community and caring becoming the new norm…WORKING TOGETHER INSTEAD OF WORKING AGAINST EACH OTHER…
Thank you for reading be well and stay safe xxx
About Carol Taylor: Enjoying life in The Land Of Smiles I am having so much fun researching, finding new, authentic recipes both Thai and International to share with you. New recipes gleaned from those who I have met on my travels or are just passing through and stopped for a while. I hope you enjoy them.
I love shopping at the local markets, finding fresh, natural ingredients, new strange fruits and vegetable ones I have never seen or cooked with. I am generally the only European person and attract much attention and I love to try what I am offered and when I smile and say Aroy or Saab as it is here in the north I am met with much smiling.
Some of my recipes may not be in line with traditional ingredients and methods of cooking but are recipes I know and have become to love and maybe if you dare to try you will too. You will always get more than just a recipe from me as I love to research and find out what other properties the ingredients I use contain to improve our health and wellbeing.
Exciting for me hence the title of my blog, Retired No One Told Me! I am having a wonderful ride and don’t want to get off, so if you wish to follow me on my adventures, then welcome! I hope you enjoy the ride also and if it encourages you to take a step into the unknown or untried, you know you want to…….Then, I will be happy!
Thank you once again for reading this post I hope you all stay safe and healthy xx

Many more people will be working for home now, more than ever. What do you know? Suddenly it CAN be done! I just feel so much for all the people who lost loved ones. And the ones who’ve lost their jobs. we can’t sustain these lock downs for many more months. I don’t want our world wide economies to crash!

Unfortunately I think this year is written off as reguards the economies of the world but hopefully many lessons will have been learnt and maybe just maybe we will have a brave new world 🙂 Stay safe and well 🙂 x

I don’t know stats regarding harm caused by people who do not observe social distancing, but I’ve heard some horrendous stories of groups of people being infected by one irresponsible individual. The safest way is to stay home, if possible at all.
Be well and stay safe, dear friend!

Every time I see groups of people still gathering, it angers me NOT because they put themselves at risk, but because they will go back to grocery stores, gas stations etc and spread this killer disease…and those who follow the rules don’t deserve to have to interact with idiots…another great post!

I totally agree, John… a prime example of how pandemics spread the thoughtlessness of human actions.. Be well and stay safe…

The video of the guy who doesn’t want to pay 15 cents for a grocery bag is hilarious. The singing in London is lovely. hopefully we will learn from all this. xo

I think many will learn some lessons from this, and apply them later. However I think there are many who won’t. People like the ones who are refusing to obey lockdown rules and observe social distancing right now. We can only hope more will learn than not.

I do hope so, Tori it is the people they infect by their stupidity to understand the seriousness x

Great blog Carol. We will need to make big changes after this is all over and from what we have seen it is possible. However the greedy and selfish may try to return us to the way things were but I hope not. I can’t believe that anyone would put themselves in so much danger to go running. We may scoff at deeply religious groups ignoring gatherings due to their faith and lack of awareness but runners in the UK. Russian roulette.

Some unexpected benefits are occurring in nature. I also enjoyed the video of the guy at the store. The cashier didn’t seem to be too impressed.
