Salmon is one of my favourite fish…and also one I can easily get here which is a bonus…Today Sally is giving you the low down on the health benefits of salmon and is also sharing some of my favourite Salmon recipes…I love the two combined as often I read articles about the benefits of eating a portion of certain foods and then I have to look for recipes…This is like one-stop shopping Health and Nutrition plus recipes does it get any better than that? I would say not…Enjoy!

We live in the heart of the salmon country. It’s one of those foods that I acquired a taste for later in life. I’m always looking for another way to prepare it.

The legendary wild Copper River Salmon are available for the next 4-6 weeks and we ordered several pounds of it fresh from Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Fish Market – it’s incredible!

Yes there is nothing like fresh fish… This pandemic is an eye opener in many ways I think it shows how dependent we are on so much and when the rug is pulled from under us.. how we have to adapt and accept… Hopefully we will get some semblance of norm back its just when…

What I like and don’t has transformed during this virus mess, Carol. Well “don’t like” is an exaggeration for me, because I’m not picky. But two things have stood out to me. I’m “not terribly fond of” (meaning I’ll eat it and enjoy it — provided I don’t have it more than a couple of times a year) are broccoli and salmon.
It’s been so hard for me to get decent food, particularly “fresh” (including frozen), and I’m paying a lot more than usual. Anyhow I found a huge “package” deal of frozen meat/fish & vegetables that I was able to get. It included salmon, and a lot of broccoli. I don’t know if it was that I had been making do with whatever for so long, or what — but I’ve really enjoyed the salmon and even the broccoli. Hugs on the wing.
