Welcome to this weeks edition of the Culinary Alphabet…Where I am exploring some culinary delights beginning with the letter V.
Unusual for me as I am a savoury girl and not a sweet girl…I am starting with a dessert…
Vacherin
Well, it could be one of two things they are both spelled the same…although they couldn’t be more different…one is a cheese the other is a light very pretty meringue French dessert.

Swiss people call this soft, washed-rind cheese as Vacherin du Mont d’Or, in France it is called Vacherin du Haut Doubs (or just Vacherin in local shops).

You amaze me, Carol with your culinary alphabet A-Z. Usually there are one or two items that I’m fuzzy about or never or never heard of. Take, for instance, “vichyssoise,” that I wasn’t sure about.
I read the comments too! 10,000 steps! My daughter is the shopper in our family, and if I ever shop with her, I’m usually ready to drop! 🙂

I have been wanting to tell you, Carol, that I have joined the Gingerbread Exchange. It has loads of amazing gingerbread ideas and there are lots of other cake artists who belong. I have found a fantastic challenge for my Christmas display and I’m very excited about it.
