Welcome to the round up of posts you might have missed on Smorgasbord during the week.

It has been bitterly cold here for the last few days but thankfully the threatened snow seems to have changed its mind. Considering how wet we normally are, we seem to have hit a dry patch which is fine by us.

A little bright spot in the week has been the primroses that I transplanted from the pots at the beginning of summer as they began to wilt into some rough soil around some bushes.. I put some soil in a hole and plonked them in to see if they would perky up. And they have thrived and flowered ever since through rain, snow, hail for the last nine months.
