I love crumpets, but they are best with real butter. If I buy crumpets, I also buy some real salted butter just to spread on them. (We usually have ‘Olive Spread’.)

Baking soda is very useful. Its the little sister of my favorite “radical” cleaner Sodium hydroxide. The best drain cleaner and it doesn’t create chlorine. 😉 Michael

I just learned a new use for baking soda: To unclog drains, use a cup of backing soda and equal amount of vinegar, let stand, and flush with hot water.

Yes it does, Marian.. Baking soda has many uses and am guessing it is an ingredient in many household cleaners we are charged an arm and a leg for… Have a lovely week x

I do this once a month as a preventative, it was taught to me by my restaurant health inspector many years ago. It also keeps the drains odor free.
