Music with Josh Groban, My Culinary A-Z, Beer Butt Chicken, Rainbow and the beautiful fragrant Guava Fruit…
Welcome to this week’s edition of my weekly roundup of posts…Especially for you just in case you missed a few posts during this last week…Time is marching on…
We are now nearing the end of August already time just flies…some August trivia…
Today back in 1987 we were all gathered around the TV set along with 78 million other people around the world for the final episode of “The Fugitive with David Janssen…
It was also the day when one of my favourite records was released back in 1958 although I didn’t know it then as I was only 7 yrs old… however my favourite auntie who was the biggest fan of Cliff Richards introduced me at every opportunity to his songs…Cliff Richards and the Drifters released the single “Move It”, Richards debut single. Credited as 1st British Rock n Roll song.
Enough of Augusts news…Let’s go and see last weeks posts just in case you missed any…
Plastic…The Latest News…I am on a mission to start following up on some previous years posts just to see if there has been any progress… some ideas and schemes start with good intentions or are intent on making us think they have good intentions when the reality is a different story…
Last week I went around the world to have look at what has changed… have things gone forward or backwards or were even a non-starter…
It was a mixed bag, to be frank, some good news and some not so good news…Enjoy the read.
Plastic…The latest News…Week 4… an update around the world…
It was then onto the next letter in my Culinary Alphabet where the middle letter was the letter M…It was fun and I love the reader participation… what I forget you remember or sometimes it’s something I don’t know which is a bonus a learning curve…
There was Marshmallow and Camembert…from Pete, there was pummelo, bombe, Jamun, rombi (pasta),…Well Done and Dolly from Koolkosher Kitchen suggested Pears with the Camembert which sounds a nice addition…I love the interaction on this series thank you to everyone who commented x
The Culinary Alphabet …..A-Z…Series 3… the letter M…
It was then time to bring you into my kitchen and this week it was Beer Butt Chicken (chook)…a lovely way to cook a moist, tender chicken…Two suggestions from both Sally and Dolly who use wine I am assuming the same method just wine in a can and adhering to the safety precautions as stated and partaking in some of the said wine…
CarolCooks2…In my kitchen…Beer Butt Chicken…
Tropical Friday…Guava Fruit…
Guava fruits are typically classified by their coloured flesh.
Guava tastes anywhere from super sweet to tart, depending on the variety. It does have a unique fruity taste similar to a pear and a strawberry.
I have so far only eaten the pink Guava that is until my neighbours gave us some of the green guavas which had white flesh….To read more about the beautiful Guava Fruit please click the link below…
Saturday Snippets….Rainbow!
My one-word prompt yesterday was Rainbow…it was fun to search and find what apart from the obvious I could find with a connection to rainbow and my other condition I made to myself was to avoid the post being all unicorns and sugary…I think I managed that…
It was the animals which delighted me the most there are truly some stunning ones and of course the rainbow Eucalyptus tree…
Saturday Snippets… 28th August 2021…Rainbow…
Thank you to everyone who continues to send me messages on WP, FB and FT its good to speak sometimes and e-mail it helps me enormously…Although Laurens operation was a success she had had to be taken back to hospital 3 times since last Saturday they don’t keep anyone in after an operation because of …Bloody Covid…Can you tell me 3 more visits in one week is working and doesn’t increase her chance of infection…It’s been a difficult week for me being so far away… and now Thailand is in the UK’S Red zone ….on the plus side we had our 1st covid jab on Wednesday…Your messages and prayers have really helped…Thank you xx
Thank you very much for dropping in this week and for your likes, comments(which) I look forward to and for your shares it is all very much appreciated…I hope to see you tomorrow for week 5 of my updated Plastics posts…Have a great Sunday xx
An eventful and beautiful week, dear Carol.

I had never seen that clip of The Fugitive TV series. I got a laugh out of the music that went with it. Have you seen the 1993 movie, The Fugitive, with Harrison Ford? It’s a great film! I’ve followed your blog long enough to know that you are a big fan of Cliff Richard. Thanks for another great week! Blessings to you and your family.

So sorry about that situation. I would agree- 4 visits (including surgery) would in fact greatly increase your chance of getting Covid. 4 to 1, in fact.
so sorry! best to you and your family!
