Carol, thank you for sharing this story – as I’ve replied to a couple of comments, burgers can be any items between two buns, and vegan alternative and even a “salad burger” counts! Nothing holds me back but my own lack of imagination! For those who don’t know me, my wife and I do two vegan days a week as part of how we eat, and primarily have fish as a protein…that said, I love a great burger too!

You are welcome, John and as you say even a salad burger counts.. Healthwise I think you have the correct idea cutting down on meat x

Jim, I have also shared recipes for “Nut Burgers” as well, and a Japanese slider with avocado can also work nicely…while I use meat, I also love the alternatives, especially as here in the US, we have the Impossible vegan patties and mushroom-based Quorn products as well!

I don’t mind the burger ingredients. I just wish they were easier to eat. 🙂

It is a good thing I have a small mouth. Otherwise, I would eat it all.

Everything in the story is true! In fact, it seems there are “national (fill in the blank) days” all year long, sometimes very obscure!
