CarolCooks2…#bloganuary…Day 5…What is something you wish you knew how to do?

Day 5 of #bloganuary…What is something you wish you knew how to do?

Every day is a challenge with these prompts but I guess that is exactly what they are meant to be..To stretch us and make us grow…I have certainly wished I was taller all my life…and I am told as you get older you actually shrink…gulp…not far to go until I am 5 foot nothing then…

What is something I wish I knew how to do then?…

I could wish that I had a wish even one wish that would come true and I would cure cancer in a heartbeat…if I had 2 wishes I would wish that no children ever go to bed hungry or hurt…

I wish I had followed my dreams earlier in life …I would now be a doctor or a vet…

All of the above are just that dreams that I could wish hurt away and dreams of what could have been…

But I am not dissatisfied with my life…I am happy and well …I enjoy life to the max(covid) restrictions allowing…

So let’s keep it simple ...What is something I wish I knew how to do?

I am quite a good cook...a home cook…everyone loves what I cook…I just wish I could make my food look like art on a plate and have that one picture of a stunning plate of food…a picture I could frame for posterity…

Thank you for joining me today I look forward to your comments and to reading your take on What is something you wish you knew how to do?

Wonderful wishes Carol and I know that curing cancer is closest to your heart. I can honestly say that every photograph you have sent me to share in our posts have been mouth watering and I wish I could actually taste the food you cook. And I know that you have created a new generation of cooks who will carry on that love of food and taste. I wish I could do most things better but always envied knitters who created such amazing designs and patterns.. I never went beyond knit one pearl one… ♥♥

I used to knit all the time…Arran jumpers for the kids, fairisle patterned cardigans and beautiful lacy matinee coats which nobody want now…Home knitting seems to have fell by the wayside for my children anyway…
Yes, curing cancer is as you know is close to my heart.. both girls have appointments today Donna with the Oncologist and Lauren to start her second round of chemo…
Thank you for your kind words about my cooking ahhh if you lived closer you could indeed be my taster…Hugs xx

It is indeed, Sally…That’s the only thing daylight and strong glasses…sigh…I still sew a little but have to get someone to thread my machine I’m not too bad threading a needle if hand sewing…I will speak to both girls later when they get home Donna earlier as there is only 1hr time difference…Hugs xx

well you’ve got the most important part of cooking mastered – the actual cooking!

There are a lot of things I wish I knew how to do, or do better, but I think I’ll go with playing a musical instrument…

I wish I knew how to swim. I know I could have had lessons, but I am scared of water after a river-drowning incident when I was 5, and I had to be resuscitated. For the last 65 years, I have been envious of people who just seem to be natural swimmers.
    Best wishes, Pete.

I wish I could play a musical instrument. Both my lads played in touring bands and despite having a bass guitar these past fifteen years, I still can’t play anything. Short fingers and short attention span, i think. 😉 😀

I wish I were handier with tools. My dad never taught us much in that department, and I only took woodshop and metal shop one year in high school.

Is this bloganuary your creation? Either way, I like it. I don’t remember you doing this last year, or is my memory that shot?
