Welcome to Monday Musings…which could be anything that has happened throughout the last week, something I have read or watched, could be a pet peeve or almost anything.. welcome to my world!
Bees…In Winter…
Bees need all the help we can give them to survive especially in the winter months here is a helpful post from Martha Stewart’s blog on how we can help the bees in the winter months.
The sad news came out on January the 21st of the passing of Marvin Lee Aday, who you may know better as Meat Loaf. I’ve been a fan of his ever since he unleashed Bat Out Of Hell onto the world…I spent much of that day playing his songs as they should be played and that isn’t quietly…Clive of Take it Easy Blog paid tribute to the music of Meatloaf far better than I could…Please if you were a fan pop over and play the songs …loudly!

I came across this link on Becky’s blog…it makes sense as children are our future and reading books especially written for them will as children are wont to ask questions which will fuel a need to know about climate change…Thank you Becky a great share x
Why Children’s Stories Are a Powerful Tool to Fight Climate Change – YES! Magazine…
https://www.yesmagazine.org/opinion/2022/01/14/climate-change-childrens-stories?
Every household in Wales is being offered a free tree to plant as part
of the Welsh Government’s plans to tackle climate change.
People can choose a tree of their own to plant or opt to have a tree
planted on their behalf.
The first trees will be available to collect from March 2022 from one
of five regional community hubs being set up. A further 20 community
hubs will follow as part of the scheme run with the Woodland Trust.
Wales deputy minister for climate change, Lee Waters, said: “Trees are
amazing – they save lives by keeping our air clean, they improve
people’s physical and mental health, they are essential for tackling
our nature emergency, improving biodiversity and, of course, in
tackling climate change.
Thank you Tori for alerting me to this wonderful incentive…
That’s all for today I hope you have found these links useful and informative…Have a productive and enjoyable week everyone and don’t forget my new A-Z is coming out on Wednesday…x

Some lovely links here, Carol. My book Sir Choc and the sugar dough bees was about the need to help the bee populations of the world. I also love Meatloaf and Terence and I saw Bat out of Hell at the London Theatre in 2018.

Meat Loaf was one of a kind. Even though I no longer own a record player, I still have his Bat out of Hell album around here somewhere on vinyl. As someone trying to write children’s stories, I completely agree they are a great avenue to teach.

It is indeed, Dear Dolly we need to plant trees and wild flowers as much as we can 🙂 x

We have a tradition to plant trees or flowers on the New Year of the Trees, that was about two weeks ago. Many people who do not have their own garden plant trees in Israel by proxy.

We have bought trees for each grandchild from the Woodland Trust and before that for people’s birthdays or Christmas.

Meat Loaf was a good actor, too. I never owned any of his songs, but I know all the words to his big hits. When he was interviewed, he always came across as a very nice guy.
Best wishes, Pete. x
