Day 26 of #bloganuary…Today’s prompt is…Where do you go when you need solitude?
Our language has wisely sensed the two sides of being alone. It has created the word loneliness to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word solitude to express the glory of being alone. Paul Tillich.
This is absolutely true as you get older you realise the difference between loneliness and solitude…
I lived in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in maturity. Albert Einstein.
I can have solitude in my office, I can have solitude on my daily walks either on a beach or walking by the lake, Just staring into space, sitting under a tree, baking bread, listening to music or just walking to the market… it’s very easy for me to get lost in my thoughts but I enjoy that time with just my thoughts..when I was younger I didn’t want to go shopping on my own I wanted company…
Now I love shopping on my own as I can lose myself with my thoughts I can plan recipes in my head… it gives me time to browse the vegetables and fruits …think about how I can use them… my best recipes come about by doing that…
Even among all the people shopping, I can be alone with my thoughts…
One can be instructed in society, one is inspired only in solitude. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
This post is part of the WordPress Bloganuary Challenge 2022 where everyone is provided with a writing prompt each day. Today’s prompt was to write about…?. Where do you go when you need solitude?

great quote by Einstein. and yes, as I’ve gotten older, I enjoy those moments of solitudes. One of my favorite places to be alone is just sitting in my car in the driveway. I think it is the perfect place to read…

I think the perfect place is wherever you find it, Jim and your car is obviously one of your places where you find solitude… Sounds perfect to me.. x
