Day 29 of #bloganuary…Today’s prompt is…Describe yourself as a tree.
Pleeese…I can’t wait for tomorrow’s prompt-sigh- A tree????
I thought of going with Disney…so cute and then I thought of me as a mum…
In Chapter 2, verse 9 from The Book of Genesis, the Bible says the Tree of Life is sacred to the Garden of Eden. It holds the knowledge of all good and evil that is in existence. Human life is like a tree because just as a tree grows taller and wider throughout its life with the right nourishment, so do we…it very rare I quote from the bible but I believe as a mother that from conception to the end we are like a tree with so many branches as we guide our children through their lives…not only is it a tree but it is the circle of life…the two are intermingled.
This is one of my favourite pictures of my grandson and his friends…the branches of the tree keeping them safe…just like a mother’s arms…so yes as a mother and grandmother I suppose I am like a tree with lots of branches… we have many branches …of love..of knowledge …of experiences to share…to protect…x
This post is part of the WordPress Bloganuary Challenge 2022 where everyone is provided with a writing prompt each day. Today’s prompt was to write about…?.Describe yourself as a tree.
What a great photo! There’s nothing like seeing the ones we love having fun. I smiled at the prompt. Most of these ideas have been great, but—a tree?🤣 It brought back a memory to a workshop I attended where they had an icebreaker where we were supposed to tell some random person sitting next to us what kind of car we were. 🤣🤣🤣 I kid you not. I never saw so many eye-rolls.

We did something similar in college, but not in writing. You’d have to act like a specific tree, with your body, without words. Same with flowers, animals, and even stones.

I bet that suggestion elicited a few eye rolls…it sounds a bit like the improv classes I used to go to..no inhibitions there but so freeing …

We were not allowed eye rolls in communist Russia, dear Carol. Anyway, Stanislavsky did worse things with his actors, and Stanislavsky was god, as far as our professor was concerned. Method Acting was his bible!

I don’t think anyone who hasn’t lived in an autocratic regime can truly imagine what it is.

I think you are correct we generally only see what we see in the media etc…

True, and also, we all tend to perceive information through our own schema, which is so totally different from that bizarre existence, that even my husband, who was born in Odessa but brought to the US as a child, sometimes makes incongruous comments.
