Friday review and the subject was Black Gold which I love plus I found the research most interesting I love how traditions are passed down through the generations …Saturday Snippets is always a joy to write for me…and this week it was the “Ears” all part of the face…plus there are some fascinating connections to the word”Ear”…from a slice of apple to an ear…from asparagus to our spinal cords the possibilities are both awesome and endless and all because a man believes in “play”
Right…enough of my chatter…Let’s have look at last week…
Monday Musings!
Monday Musings is a short post for me…lol…just a few topics that have caught my eye during the previous week…Early years education for children is most important as those early shape a child…avocado as a dessert John Rieber reveals just how delicious it can be…candles can look pretty and smell amazing but a warning as water and candle grease do not mix well and can cause serious burns plus zoodles instead of pasta…
Monday Musings …28th February 2022…
Plain and simple with lemon or lime is one of the best ways to eat pancakes although I love a touch of maple syrup for a change…
Pancake Day…1st March 2022…Aka Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday.
Nice crispy chicken strips no nasties the kids love them!
CarolCooks2 in my kitchen…Not quite KFC Chicken…
I am loving researching and writing this A-Z…I am learning so much about world cuisine as I hope you are too…I had a beautiful comment the other day which I will share with you it really made my day…Justina said “I’m an Argentinian, and I confirm this is a very good description of us! Apart from the tamales, which are more typical of Central America (Venezuela, Mexico), the other information is absolutely right! I’m very glad to hear such good things from us and very grateful for your love and respect for our culture 😀…Thank you Justina you made my day x
CarolCooks2…A-Z World Cuisines…Part 6…Brazil…
I love this series of Sally’s at Smorgasboard heath and I thoroughly enjoyed matching recipes to ingredients for these posts…Sally knows her vitamins and nutrients and I think it was a great idea of hers to pair with recipes…Please head over and learn how B5 is so important to our continued good health particularly as we age…
Whoever thought I would be singing praises of Oreos…but they make a delicious addition to a brownie mix and they are very popular with the grandkids …Vaseline I always have in my first aid box bit cleaning a cooker with it ..what a marvellous kitchen hack…
Carol Taylor’s Green Kitchen…March 2022 …Kitchen Hacks, Seasonal Vegetables, Oreo Brownies…
Aged Balsamic Vinegar or Black Gold as it is often called is a wonderful thing..eaten quite simply with lovely fresh bread and oil or drizzled over your pasta…wonderful!…But what can you do if you have run out and only have a lesser balsamic..easy?.. pop over and have a read
CarolCooks2…Friday Food Review…Aged Balsamic Vinegar…Black Gold!
Saturday Snippets is one of my favourite posts to research and write and today’s was no exception…”Ears”…I also am a big fan of TED Talks plus I think life is too short and at all stages of our life, we should have fun and having fun releases our creativity…an Apple carved into the shape of an ear its cells removed and replaced with human cells creates an ear and from waste products…This is a must watch TED talk…
Saturday Snippets… 5th March 2022…Ears…from Apples?
Thank you for joining me today...if you leave a comment it will surely brighten this day as we have Covid in the house..the good news is our grandson tested negative yesterday so fingers crossed tomorrow’s test will say the same…that means if we get all clear that Lily can come and stay as school breaks up this week for the long holiday…
Have a great Sunday and laugh a lot…its free and good medicine xxx

Thank you, Marian.. Yes life seems to be continuously challenging me at the moment but hey ho when I look around others are having it far worse than me at the moment…

I know what you mean Carol. There are always those worse off sadly. I’m complaining about the rain here but others have suffered greatly from the floods here so I don’t feel right to complain at all 🙈

We made it to March, and the world hasn’t completely fallen apart yet, though it feels like we’re on the verge.
