The Silly Old Sod…aka Trev…starts the day just like this …. with a boogie…and why not? It certainly brightened my day…
Thank you, Trev 🙂
One of my favourite bloggers is Pete Springer…he is a word nerd like me…lol…Pete is also like many of us and has fears about the way society is going, the aggression and nastiness towards others seem to be becoming part of the culture…Crossing the Line is an interesting post as are the comments and thoughts of others…

Eggplants, Aubergines, Brinjal are some of the many names eggplants are called around the world…from the comments on my blog posts I know many of you have not seen them where you live…I added a link to the post for my UK readers and this one is for my US readers should you wish to try these lovely eggplants…
Fresh Thai Round Eggplant (Aubergine) 200g – Imported Weekly from Thailand
Finally, the ongoing invasion of Ukraine is heartbreaking and I know many of you have or may wish to support the people…However, whenever there is a human tragedy the chancers cash in and line their own pockets where they can…I myself even when there isn’t a humanitarian crisis and want to donate to a cause …I check for that reason I have posted this link to Charity Watch …
For anyone who donates by buying goods here is a link for t/shirts…

I agree with you about donating for causes, dear Carol. I also want to know who administers relief when I donate.

You are right that people have to be careful about donating to charities. Recent news here has shown huge salaries paid to people organising ‘Conic Relief’, and the fact that the BBC kept back millions from the money donated to ‘Children In Need’ over the years for ‘operating expenses’. Some established charities like the RSPCA and Oxfam pay enormous salaries to their executives too. I donate regularly to two UK charities, and I like to know how the money is spent.
Best wishes, Pete. x

I totally agree with what you say, Pete..I am happy to donate money but not to fund a huge salary and I also want the money to go to where I have requested …I love the fact there is now a charity watch 🙂

Thank you for the mention, Carol. And I agree with the post about aggression and nastiness towards others. We moved to Wales in the countryside as it was becoming overwhelming living in the city. Let’s hope peace regains a foothold, not just in Ukraine, but the world over. Thank you again, Carol, happy Monday. 😊

You are welcome, Trev and yes, Pete’s post was spot on..I hope your right as this invasion of Ukraine has had the effect of uniting people and countries which is good it gave old Putin a shock I don’t think he was expecting the backlash he is getting…Happy Monday to you too, Trev 🙂

I agree with Pete. And you.
There is so much shared concerns and values amongst all people. It is not hard to find commonality.
I think all killers should boogie instead. It seems so much more fun and so less harmful.
Boogie Putin.
Thank you for posting this Carol

The video regarding legitimate charities is so helpful. There are plenty of scams (pretty disgusting when individuals/groups bilk people out of dollars meant for essential causes.) The other obvious concern is what percentage of the dollars actually go to the charities, and I’m glad the lady addressed that topic.
Thanks for the shout-out, Carol. Word nerd—indeed.😊

Haha… I know, I agree about the percentages I don’t mind giving I do mind lining someone’s pockets and my money not going to where it should… You are welcome for the shoutout, Pete.. I hope you have a fabulous week 😊 x
