Welcome to Monday Musings…where I indulge my whimsy or share anything which has caught my eye during the last week there may also be a rant on occasion but nothing springs to mind at this moment time so a rant free post…lol
Starting off with this post from John Reiber which ticked all of our Culinary boxes here… a delicious Chicken Dinner with a bread salad that seems a perfect mate for that beautiful golden chicken…
This war in Ukraine…is heartbreaking but has also brought out the best of human nature …John Howell’s post on the mothers of Poland was powerful…Pushchairs and Strollers were left for the babies and toddlers of Ukrainian refugees…it was heartwarming to witness the kindness and solidarity from these kind Polish mothers to the Ukrainian mothers.
Thank you, John, for sharing these beautiful kind gestures from the Polish mothers.
While this war may seem far away from many of us and all we can do is weep and donate our help there will be consequences for many…Called “The Butterfly Effect”…if it hasn’t already it will affect the food on your table…it is a stark reminder that we should be as self-sufficient as we can and waste as little as we can…
“The Butterfly Effect”
Coming straight after the pandemic, the outbreak of war in Ukraine–disconcerting, unexpected, and in no way justifiable–makes us feel powerless again, overwhelmed by circumstances that are way beyond our control. In a closely interconnected world, it obliges us to come to terms with the negative implications of the so-called “butterfly effect.”

Jennie never ceases to amaze me with her joy of teaching…she is every parent’s dream as we hand over our little ones to someone else to teach them and as Jennie does to nurture their little minds and fill them with joy and wonder…This post shares one of these moments…

Lots of feel-good and learning moments in this post today …everyone knows that I do not like food waste and that if there was no food waste there would also be no one going to bed or waking up hungry there would be food for all…I saw this over at Norah’s Blog and it made me glad to see that we are starting to teach children about food waste…
That’s all for today I hope you are all staying covid free as it is still out there and shows no sign of going away anytime soon…As always I look forward to your comments and hope you all have a productive week…x
Some great links Carol.. to amazing bloggers and the war in Ukraine has certainly put the world on notice that it only takes one man to threaten 7 billion people including his own..

The war in Ukraine is absolutely got wrenching and it’s been on my mind as well, I just keep praying for everyone and hoping that things get better

Absolutely there is no justification for what is going on and the spirit of the Ukranian people is admirable as is the kindness and compassion of the Polish people and others…

But of course, there are implications of this war felt in the entire world! Ukraine has always been the granary of Russia; that’s one of the real reasons behind the invasion.

Thank you, Carol. Since we follow many of the same blogs, I’d seen all of these except the post about the “butterfly effect”—a term I had never heard of before.

Yes the Butterfly Effect.. Sounds as if it could be a problem for many sooner or later… I had heard of it but not what it meant until I read that particular post.. x

I’ll pick out two images that stood out for me: strollers in Poland left for Ukrainian refugees. Wonderful! And the butterfly effect. The actions of helpers demonstrating love and kindness during this war are most heartwarming. Thanks for sharing, Carol.

Thanks for including my post in your collection, Carol. The butterfly effect is quite scary. So much is scary in the world at the moment.

I know, Norah and guessing we will get a wake up call soon either in our pockets or on the table x

A good selection for your musings, Carol.
It appears that Odessa will be next city in Ukraine to bear the brunt of a Russian assault. The tactic seems to be to completely destroy what you cannot capture. Sad times we live in.
Best wishes, Pete. x
