Welcome to Monday Musings…where I indulge my whimsy or share anything which has caught my eye during the last week there may also be a rant on occasion …lol
Whether you are a writer or a blogger it is always good to know where to get hints and tips or have them handy for future reference…I use Canva and the tips here are invaluable to me…Please head over to Debby’s sire and have a read they may be just what you are looking for…
This is my rant of the week…
I think we all know that obesity is a worldwide problem both for children and adults…it causes many medical conditions which with a proper diet wouldn’t exist…Doctors and dentists surgeries the hospitals could spend their time on curing and helping people with other chronic diseases NOT lifestyle diseases…or preventable diseases…but life-threatening diseases.
We now have a new kid on the block(for) me as it was flooding my social media…Gummie NOT the bears but supposedly health supplements in gummi form…Pleeease is it just me?
Nothing to back the claims up and unclear labels but a high sugar content, addictive ..you bet!
Why are these allowed and more to the point why do people believe the unestablished claims?
How times have changed but I could just imagine the scene of these Easter Festivities…Pretty ladies with their fans and beautiful flapper dresses…How did their Easter fare differ from ours today…Head over to Sheryl’s blog “a hundred years’ ago” to find out.

I love music and think everyone should have music in their lives…I’ll leave you with some tunes picked for you from Clive from “Take it Easy ” who has picked the best Easter tunes…
That’s all for Monday Musings today I hope those of you who celebrate Easter are all having a good Easter Monday…xxx

Hi Carol, my sons would never have been given those bears. I think they are the only teens in the world that have never eaten McDonalds.

I just think its dreadful they are selling them rebranded as health supplements with nothing to back up their claims and people buy them…Is that any burger brand or just McDonalds, Robbie?

HI Carol, we do occasionally buy a brand called Nando’s which is quite famous here (it is Portuguese chicken) and we used to buy Steers burghers. To be honest, we just don’t buy takeaway. We either cook or go to a good restaurant. My hubby is a bit of a food fundi.

Nandos is ok… I used to like their spicy lemon chicken livers when I was in the Uk..now I make my own as no Nandos here…But I’m with you with cooking at home or eating out on occassions…

I would say they are fortunate indeed never to have put the chemically-enhanced food-like substances McDonalds sells as food in their young bodies.

Those gummies are weird. Why do they do that? It’s like the dentist we went to as kids, who would give us a lollipop as a reward if we didn’t need any treatment for our teeth!
Thank you for the link to my post. Happy it’s-still-just-Easter 😊 x

I don’t know Clive I think its a combination of producing something which they know will attract a gullible consumer… I believe from memory our dentist handed out a sweet treat…Yes, it’s still Easter until midnight, Clive 🙂 x

Thanks so much for including my post Carol ❤ And yes, about gummies. Hmm, I do believe there are some good ones out there, but those would come from the health food store, for some that find taking pills difficult. I should think the 'cheap' ones in the pharmacy are laden with sugar, as I have taken a look around. Most important, we must look for the bio availability and that we are getting a good amount of the vitamin in question. ❤

I think you are correct, Debbie I never thought about the difficulty in taking pills they just seem too easy to abuse and apparently its ok for kids to take them…<3
