Welcome to Monday Musings where I share some things that have thrilled me, made me think or smile or even have a mini-rant although doesn’t happen often during the last week…April has flown by and now we are at the beginning of May…wow…
This beautiful song was recommended by Darlene in response to my Saturday Snippets one-word prompt which was “Blue”…Sung by Blue Rodeo “Try”
Thank you, Darlene I loved this it’s now on my song list…
Sometimes inspiration and hope come from an unlikely source and when you least expect it…in so much as you didn’t know it was staring you in the face…Thank you, Pete and Rebecca x
I have been out in the garden this morning repotting a couple of plants and picking some chillies and long peppers I have dried quite a few now and looking forward to using them in a recipe…they are quite a rare and a little-used pepper now…yesterday evening we had the last of our Chinese greens but they have served us really well we have had a few meals worth of greens from just 3 plants ..tomorrow I am going to plant some more seeds as we really like the Chinese Greens…they grow quickly and keep cropping if you pick as soon as the flowers appear…
Having done my early morning gardening I then came in to have my Oolong tea and check the blogs I follow…This one resonated with me and it is so true THAT like our gardens …kindness and smiles are cherished and remembered…
A smile, a wave, a wink or a nod: simple gestures that can actually have lasting ramifications. We have no idea how many people we touch in a single day, a single hour and yet touch them we do. And that’s where the seeds take root…to read the original post written by Pamela whose blog is Butterfly Sand please click this link…
It is a perfect post on how we can pay it forward and watch how it grows just like our seeds in the garden x
That’s all for Monday Musings this week thank you for joining me, I do as always look forward to your comments x
Pingback: CarolCooks2 weekly roundup… 1st -7th May 2022-Monday Musings, Health, Food Review “” and Saturday Snippets where “Candle” is my prompt. | Retired? No one told me!
I’m so envious. I tried planting Bok Choy and it bolted almost before it had any leaves. Spinach and parsley did great though. Have a new batch coming along – all self-seeded. 😀 Have a great week, Carol.

The week has started out dull and gloomy here. It is a Bank Holiday, but you wouldn’t know that. It feels very much like a normal Monday.
Best wishes, Pete. x

A lovely start to Monday, Carol. Beautiful song, and a book from Pete that I also enjoyed. Enjoy your real and metaphorical gardens. ❤
