Saturday Snippets…16th July 2022…Today’s one-word prompt is “Secret”

Welcome to Saturday Snippets this is one of my favourite posts of the week I learn much from my research and your comments so please keep them coming…

Today’s word prompt is “Secret”…my muse certainly picks some one-word prompts for me…where did this one come from I wonder…my first thought was one of my favourite books as a child  “The Secret Garden”…I wonder how many other secrets I can divulge… Benjamin Franklin once said, “Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead.”

Secret Mango Flower Pie…

Mangoes are one of my favourite fruits luscious when ripe and refreshing and healthy when green and served with a spicy Thai dip…so it’s no “secret” that this delicious pie caught my eye and tempted my tastebuds…With ingredients like coconut milk, cashews and walnuts, mango and a hint of rum…Delicious!

Great choice on the theme today of “secret.” It’s fun for me to see all of the songs that include or are about the word secret. The one you picked for Madonna is one of my favorites, but I also enjoyed Beetley Pete’s Madonna choice.

My mum once said, “Everyone has secrets, and anyone who says otherwise is lying”.
I tend to agree with her.
I am going with a different Madonna song, one of my favourites of hers.

    Best wishes, Pete.

More fantastic facts and some good music! There are lots of ‘secret’ songs, aren’t there: I’d add Secret Smile, by Semisonic, to your list. Have a lovely day, Carol 😊 x
