Welcome to Monday Musings where my muse pinpoints anything exciting or unusual I have read, seen or experienced during the last week it could be anything that piques my interest…

On this day…on 20th February 1962…I remember watching this with my father who was very interested in space travel… there was much excitement in our house when John Glenn orbited the earth he wasn’t the first but  Glenn did 3 orbits of the earth so though Yuri Gagarin was the first man to orbit the earth his flight around the moon was epic it was only one orbit this meant the space race between Russia and the U.S. was on…

Natural Antibiotics that work…Colloidal Silver supplements…

I am aware of Colloidal Silver being used in fact my father used it to guard against colds he used it because his mother used it…I also have a few friends who use it and swear by its effectiveness…Colloidal Silver is said to be a natural antibiotic, with antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties and is made from a mixture of silver particles that have been suspended in fluid…This is the same type of precious metal used in jewellery, dental fillings and silverware…

Manufacturers make many claims as to the effectiveness of using colloidal silver although it appears that little meaningful research has been carried out…I was quite surprised to read that In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has acted against some manufacturers of colloidal silver products for making unproven health claims…

For me given that the overuse of any heavy/noble metals can be considered toxic, I would say use it with caution…plus of course check with your doctor or health professional if you are taking regular medication(s)…better to be safe than sorry…

    Carol, this was wonderful! I remember being in 5th grade and the class watching John Glenn on a black and white TV. You have played one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies. Sister Act was terrific! Thank you!!

      I know even though we were over the pond we were the same, Dorothy my father purchased a gold space shuttle for my charm bracelet he loved everything about the space programme and I loved it too 🙂 x

    My bottle of colloidal silver is at my side even as I write this. I have been using the stuff for years. In fact, it was what they used to clean out my eyes when I was born, so I have been blessed with its benefits for over 6 decades! ❤

    I can’t believe it was so long ago that John Glenn made the trip around the earth. Amazing what we have witnessed in our lifetime. Thanks for the Sister Act clip. Fabulous!
