1997…In Roslin, Scotland, scientists announce that an adult sheep named Dolly has been successfully cloned…This video takes you through the process and what has happened since then…Have our worst fears come home to roost or not?
In the sixties, I was a Biba girl…I loved the shop...this link is one that beetleypete found and shared with me so for any Biba girls it’s a great article…Thank you so much Pete it made my day to reminisce while reading this article…I loved it and the memories x
Were you a BIBA Babe?
Today’s musical collaboration…Metallica with San Fransisco Symphony Orchestra…
When Wagner met heavy metal and it worked…
Thank you for joining me today as always I appreciate your comments and your shares…x
The video on Dolly the Sheep was a little creepy. I’m glad some knowledge was gained about stem cell research, but the idea of cloning people… my guess is that it will happen one day. Very weird to think about.

An interesting reminder about Dolly Carol.. Barbra Streisand clones the dogs that she loses and there are several racehorses that are clones of winners… not sure I could clone Sam as he was so individual and I would always be making comparisons. Loved the rock and Wagner fusion.. brilliant.. ♥

Yes, I was reading about Streisand and her dogs but like you, I don’t think I would wish to clone our Sam or any other pets we have had…I love that fusion to Sally it was amazing xx

I would appreciate this musical hybrid better if I didn’t have an allergy to Wagner that goes back to my college days.

Oh, how I developed this allergy? I had a sadistic music history professor who would drop the needle for a few seconds, and we had to not only recognize where it came from, but also which specific part of the piece and which role it played in the entire piece. Obviously, Wagner’s operas, their multitude of leitmotifs which have different significance depending on where they appear, were mind-boggling. I still shudder!

I remember Dolly – it was on the science curriculum here. My main interest was in the two wondeful clips of Biba and Metallica. I’ve had a great time this afternoon. Many thanks, Carol!

I had completely forgotten about Dolly. I remember wondering what the future would be like because of this experimentation. It seems that the technology has been used for good, so far.

I’m so glad you enjoyed reading the Biba link, Carol. I remember Dolly. Was that only 1997? It seems so much longer ago in my memory. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
