Smorgasbord Blog Magazine – Carol Taylor’s – Culinary A – Z Rewind – ‘R’ for Rice, Ras el Hanout, Rhubarb, Ricotta Cheese and Rice Noodles

Good morning I am loving this rewind as it gives me a chance to revisit the letter R in my first culinary A-Z…many of my favourite foods start with the letter R…Rice for one is my favourite carb and I eat rice every single day whether it be Jasmine Rice, black rice or raspberry rice as its called here, brown rice or Keow Neow which is sticky rice…

Before I came to live in Thailand I had been on a few holidays here and liked to cook Thai food at home… Mainly it was a disaster I just couldn’t cook a bowl of nice fried rice…It was absolutely awful…

Since living here I have had a few lessons from my daughter-in-law as to the error of my ways and now I can make a stir fry and hold my head up amongst most Thai cooks.

If you head over and read the original post I will tell you how to make the perfect fried rice.

However there is far more than just rice that also starts with the letter R and if you head over to Smorgasbord you can read the original post that Sally has very kindly rewound…Thank you Sally I love this revisit so come on over the kettle is on…See you there xx
