Welcome to Thursday Thoughts this week has been busy in my mind so many thoughts and so many rabbit holes either from posts, social media or just browsing…
Intrigued to know whether the burgers featured on John Rieber’s posts had arrived in Thailand as often they do well Mcdonald’s has introduced the Samurai Burger however it has no red bun…Popping over to Burger King I discovered that until the 31st of March, they have…Ta Da!
Burger King Thailand’s Hershey’s Collection menu, in collaboration with the famous chocolate company, is available until March 31. One of the items you can order from the menu is the outrageous Hershey’s Chocolate Burger (THB129), which comprises Burger King’s signature flame-grilled patty made from 100% Australian beef, a slice of American cheese, and crunchy bacon drizzled with Hershey’s premium chocolate sauce and sandwiched between chocolate buns…One for chocolate lovers then…Chocolate goes with chilli and an authentic Mexican chilli has chocolate in it and we have mole sauce with chicken etc…so why not on a burger?
Chocolate heaven or hell?…
On this day in 1933 “42nd Street” a musical film revolving around rehearsals for a Broadway show, directed by Lloyd Bacon, with choreography by Busby Berkeley, and songs by Harry Warren and Al Dubin, premiered at the Strand, NYC; later adapted as a stage musical…
It ran for 3,486 performances…
Those of you who know me know I am always banging the drum for chemical-free food, fresh food not processed or industrially manufactured… therefore I am passing you over to Sally from Smorgasbord Magazine where she has penned a fantastic article on Processed foods vs. Industrially manufactured foods …
I’m sure you can see some of the foods here that you may buy or have done so or that you avoid like the plague…all will be revealed if you click the highlighted link below…
Thank you for joining me today for Thursday’s thoughts as always I look forward to your comments and appreciate any shares…xx
Hi Carol, I don’t think I’d eat chocolate sauce on a burger. Thanks for the link to Sally’s post.

Hi, Robbie as they are available here and Lily arrives over the weekend for her school holiday break with us I’m sure she will want to try it. I will try it just to say I have but chocolate on a burger which I don’t often eat anyway maybe twice a year is not for me either…smile…x

Chocolate in a burger? No thank you. Sally’s post is pretty eye opening and sobering. For those of us who hate to cook (yes, me), it’s a tough road to stay healthy.

Hi Jennie…if thats because you are working long hours (as) I used to then I used my slow cooker even for the morning porridge it a great appliance and we always had a healthy meal between that and batch cooking it can be done with planning ..I’ll always help don’t be afraid to ask 🙂 xx

To be honest, it has nothing to do with working long hours. I have never liked to cook. It is stressful and hard for me. Even a simple breakfast of frying an egg and cooking bacon feels like taking a geometry test. I know, it’s an awful thing. I do use my slow cooker.

No, it’s not awful, Jennie not everyone loves to cook one of my daughters has been like that for years but gradually as she now wishes to get healthier she is exploring cooking only simple things but seems to be finding some pleasure in doing so…using a slow cooker is great I use mine quite a lot it doesn’t heat my kitchen-smile-

The Burger King Hershey’s Chocolate Burger sounds intriguing. I include dark chocolate in one of my favorite chile recipes, so this sounds like something I would at least try. As I used to tell my children about food, taste it before declaring that you do not like it.

Absolutely, Mike I am the same we are not burger eaters but we would probably buy one and all have a taste 🙂

Okay, forgive me for getting a little…off-colour…but someone I know was dealing with a septic tank issue, and they were like, “Why can’t we use the bacteria in the tank” and the septic tank person was like “People eat so much processed food that the bacteria don’t work anymore…they just die, because they can’t break down the, ahem, waste.”

Ewwww sounds like the writing is on the wall and nobody listened…I was just reading some of comments on a FB post and the question was what generic food can you not go without and almost everyone stated more than one and without fail they were all industrially processed foods and that scared the hell out of me….

Thanks for the link Carol…I agree that food that is cooked and consumed without additives or chemicals is what we need to encourage – as for the chocolate Burger, I am a fan of wacky food at times – yes, I acknowledge to everyone that these items are NOT additive-free – and should only be consumed once in a great while – but you know what they say: “baby steps!”

I would try it, John and I’m not a burger eater as such but would buy one and we would all have a taste …like you I love wacky food at times…:)

Hershey’s Chocolate Burger? . . . never heard of it though I grew up within 10 miles of the Hershey Chocolate factory in Pennsylvania.

It’s a limited edition burger and only until the end of March maybe its just Thailand but I’m sure Hersheys wouldn’t miss a trick and serve it up elsewhere 🙂

Thanks for sharing the post Carol… and that chocolate burger looks hyper indulgent and would probably end up with me in hyperdrive lol.. Loved the musical interlude, I saw the film not the stage show and great songs. xx♥

Well I had to put something between the two as they are at opposite ends of the spectrum-smile- I would have a bite if the kids wanted to try it but I’m guessing that would be Lily as Aston doesn’t have a sweet tooth at all…its a limited time gimmick…Yes the film was good I didn’t see the musical either but yes great songs xx ❤
