Monday Musings…13th March 2023…Do mermaids exist? most little girls think so…

Welcome to Monday Musings where my muse pinpoints anything exciting or unusual I have read, seen or experienced during the last week it could be anything that piques my interest as I explore the rabbit holes…smile.

The universe is so vast that I find it difficult to believe that there is not life out there somewhere maybe not as we know it but we can’t be the only planet with life on it and some intelligent beings-smile-

Since the beginning man must have wondered that and studied the stars it was the case that on March 13th 1781 Uranus was discovered by German-born British astronomer William Herschel who is credited with the planet’s discovery. It is the third largest planet by radius in the solar system… Herschel was searching the stars and saw what he thinks is a “comet” but was actually the discovery of the planet Uranus…Then on the same date in 1930, Clyde Tombaugh announced the discovery of Pluto… this voyage of discovery is still going on…we know much and have yet to find out so much more I believe…

Music today is from one of my favourite tenors and on 13th March 2004… Luciano Pavarotti performed in his last opera at New York Metropolitan Opera “Tosca”

This man will be remembered for a very long time for that voice it mesmerises me and although this video of one of the songs from Tosca is from a later date it is the same song…Enjoy!

Mermaids exist…Don’t they?

Then this happened…what did these 2 boys find and take a picture of?

The National Ocean Service’s June 27 posting that mermaids don’t exist may seem an odd fit for a government agency that focuses on real ocean phenomena.

There is so much we don’t know or more to the point is being kept from us…this video certainly raises a lot of questions …I find it fascinating …

Thank you for joining me today as always I look forward to your comment and appreciate any shares x

In an infinite universe the chance of life existing on another planet must be less than 0 I think…. Chances of mermaids existing probably a lot less! Most likely delirious, skurveyed and lusty sea dogs seeing things after several months at sea!

Haha, you could be correct about the sea dogs…I hope you are well, Lucy, but I think some form of life exists somewhere in that infinite universe …:)

Oh that’s a shame it’s in 6 parts and is very interesting from the scientist’s point of view and the steps that certain sectors of government appear to be taking to suppress certain elements of the scientist’s discoveries..maybe a search on utube will find one you can watch…
