Hello and welcome to my weekly roundup of posts, you may have missed during the week…Today is the second day of Songkran (Thai New Year) and given that it was 43C today any cold water thrown was well received and the clothes dry quickly-smile-we also made a visit to a small exotic zoo with Lily today I am not a fan of zoo’s for the obvious reasons but most of these animals were roaming free…The cutest was this Capyvara…The capybara or greater capybara is a giant cavy rodent native to South America. It is the largest living rodent and a member of the genus Hydrochoerus.
He happily followed us around as we had food he loves those leaves then when we ran out he went to cool down in the lake…such a lovable cute rodent…very tame as well…
I am also very happy to tell you that I am at last going to see my daughter in Australia on the 10th of May I am beyond excited she lives in Perth, WA…it will be the first time we have seen our daughter since her cancer diagnosis during Covid…
Last week started with Monday Musings…a more lighthearted post than last week’s Monday Musings as it was also Easter Monday but by now I expect you are all full up with chocolate goodies and hot cross buns …this week’s Monday Musings was about Big Ben and the fated journey of the Titanic with music from Celine Dionne…
Monday Musings…10th April 2023…Easter Monday…
Wednesday it was time for a rewind of my first A-Z with the letter U my thanks go to Sally of Smorgasbord Magazine for rewinding this series…not such an unusual letter as one might be forgiven for originally thinking…
There is bread, noodles, soup and fruit plus a few other surprises maybe…Please head over to read the original post by clicking the highlighted link below…
This week I was back on track with Thursday Thoughts…
This week Thursday’s Thoughts were on Macha and Music…I hope you enjoy!
Thursday Thoughts…13th April 2023…Macha and Music…
The largest organ of the body is the skin…In this next series of posts Sally is going to be taking a look at our skin, the largest organ of the body… a living and breathing suit of armour that defends us from external predators…our first line of defence so to speak and the one organ that is on show most of the time…
Our skin weighs 12% to 15% of our body weight and has three vital roles to play.
It protects us from external contaminants, acts as a temperature and moisture controller and is essential in the elimination of waste products…
To read the original post and to find out more about your skin and its role (it) is fascinating and informative please click the highlighted link below I will see you there once I have finished my skin brushing…xx
Thank you for joining me today for this weekly roundup I hope you have been enjoying some lovely spring weather…down on the farm there was torrential rain and some rather large hailstones 3 nights ago we swerved those as they didn’t arrive here we are still very hot it was 43C in the shade yesterday…

Great news about your trip to Perth.
43C sounds uncomfortably hot to me. It is only 12C and sunny here, and feels quite warm. 🙂
Shared your roundup on Twitter, Carol. I hope you have had an enjoyable Sunday.
Best wishes, Pete. x
