Welcome to my weekly roundup of posts just in case, you are like me and find a roundup helpful especially when the week has been busy…Starting with Monday Musings where my muse pinpoints anything exciting or unusual I have read, seen or experienced during the last week it could be anything that piques my interest…It is the last day of April and tomorrow is May Day…we are one-third of the way through this year…

Monday Musings…

As most of you know, food waste is high on my agenda as are highly processed foods and particularly the fact that I still see people WITH shopping trolleys loaded with highly processed foods …I ask why ..is it because they are cheaper? is it because of peer pressure or kid pressure?  or is it because they themselves grew up on that same diet? so many questions whirl around my brain…I was on a roll(rant) some may say but I got it off my chest so for anyone who stuck with it I thank you and if you watched the video at the end like I did then I applaud you for wanting to know although I will say you can’t unwatch it…I just deplore wanton cruelty for profit…

During times of economic downturns, consumers turn to treats and snacks as a way to indulge when the world feels chaotic and money is tight…the stats on this don’t make pretty reading so be aware when treating the kids…that someone is out to relieve you of a bit more than you bargained for…

Today Fast Food Restaurants are under my spotlight! plus Arbor Day and a delightful video of an Aboriginal Elder playing a gum leaf…we used to use greaseproof paper over a comb as a child but I never tried making music with a leaf…

Smorgasbord Heath Column…

Sally is absolutely correct “Our Body is our greatest asset”…IF we take ownership and look after it…Ok, some illnesses and diseases we cannot avoid however if our immune system is in good shape we can deal with them far better and generally our recovery times are quicker…

However, so many lifestyle diseases are down to our diets and how much we exercise…that is the bottom line…there is no getting away from it when Sally says “Ignorance is not bliss.. your body is your only real asset and your well-being should be your primary concern. ”
