Welcome to Monday Musings where I share some things that have thrilled me, made me think or smile or even have a mini-rant although that didn’t happen often during the last week…May is in full swing now we are flying through the months…

Many people live lives in which I am in awe...sometimes I envy their luck at other times I just wonder why that was the path they chose and it makes me sad or angry and very occasionally I just feel privileged to be able to virtually visualise a life well lived in so many ways it leaves me with the feeling of just wow thank you for sharing these moments…this is one such time…

I thought all bees were black and yellow…how wrong…Please meet the Blue Banded Bee…

The Australian Blue Banded Bee…Blue-banded bees are among the most beautiful of Australia’s native bees…they are not honey bees they are pollinators…

Blue Banded Bees can perform a special type of pollination called buzz pollination. Some flowers hide their pollen inside tiny capsules. A Blue Banded Bee can grasp a flower of this type and shiver her flight muscles, causing the pollen to shoot out of the capsule. She can then collect the pollen for her nest and carry it from flower to flower, pollinating the flowers. Quite a few native Australian flowers require buzz pollination…

What a heartwarming gesture this is…

These children have been forced from their homes and most have had to say goodbye to their fathers not knowing if they will ever see them again…I think using music by singing a song which has shot to Eurovision fame in Ukrainian to make these children welcome was a wonderful idea…
